What we do … 

Complex Problem Solving

Organizations today are facing more and more complex problems arriving at an increasingly rapid pace. Some of these problems are solved within the organization, and some organizations seek to source solutions from outside sources. Our approach uses “Outside-Inside, Inside-Outside, Inside-Inside” thinking. When we’re sought by organizations to assist in solving complex problems, we are initially from the “outside,” being invited into the “inside,” to partner with the people on the inside to solve these problems.

Subsequently, we work with the inside resources to help them see the outside and other options for consideration. Not necessarily “thinking out of the box,” but more so thinking about “new boxes” that contain a solution to a difficult problem. Eventually, our goal is to “teach the fishers to fish,” and formulate their own solutions. Finally we are able to establish the “Inside-Inside” reality where organizations are solving their own problems, and the people on the inside are developing the rest of the “inside.”

Leadership & Strategy

In the world today, there’s a void of leadership. Additionally, there’s a glut of management. Leadership is about direction, alignment, motivation and change, while management is about maintaining status quo and continuing along a path that’s been established by the past. Leadership is about people, while management is about things.

Successful leaders in the 21st century have certain characteristics and patterns of actions and behaviors that continually prove to be highly productive and successful. As a part of this leadership success paradigm, a clear strategy for transformation articulates the path forward and defines the guidelines and boundaries for everyone affiliated with the organization. We coach, mentor and develop leaders, as well as partner with clients to develop strategy, set direction, align resources, motivate people, communicate the critical message, and execute the plan.

Performance Improvement

Performance improvement occurs when an organization increases its value, exceeds its customer expectations while continually reducing costs. The result; increased market share, improved competitiveness, organization success. From a balanced scorecard perspective, customers benefit, the business of the organization advances, processes within the organization improve, and the people grow and prosper.

For the past 20 years, we’ve used a people centered approach based on time-tested, proven principles and methods. We work with leadership to establish direction, alignment, motivation, communication, creativity, innovation and productivity. We focus on performance determined by both qualitative and quantitative metrics. Our approach is to establish the baseline of performance, assist leadership in defining the path, and implement the Aim of Affordability which integrates value, customer and cost for continuous improvement.
